The myth of global warming

So, the Government's top environmental expert has arrived at the truly disturbing conclusion that global warming will cause havoc on an unprecedented scale unless we all change our ways to go totally green.

Funnily enough, Gordon Brown has recently undergone a Damascene conversion to the green cause.

What a coincidence that this should come at a time when, having taxed everything that moves, he needs a new excuse to extract more money from the public.

Don't be fooled by this myth that global warming is caused by carbon emissions (a myth perpetrated by politicians), the world is just going through another phase as it has done since the year dot.

For a country that uses a mere two per cent of world energy resources, taxing motorists even harder will make no difference to global warming whatsoever.

As we are already paying more taxes on fuel and road fund licence than any other country in Europe, this is just a cynical ploy to raise more revenue.

It is now time for the airlines, motoring organisations and drivers everywhere to tell these rapacious politicians that enough is enough.
