What has happened to town's fireworks?
And so as we look back on another glorious November 5. We remember the memories of great displays and flames lighting up the night sky.

At least, that is what you would do if you lived anywhere else but Shifnal.
For years the St Andrews PTA would hold an organised event with the aim of saying a big thank you to staff, families and children for their support throughout the year. It was never meant as a big fundraiser.
For years families would enjoy a well organised event in safety.
In recent times the three schools have joined together to provide a great night's entertainment for the town.
Now? "There will be no event as we do not make enough money out of it" - that was the only firework we saw this year. What a shame the spirit has been allowed to die.
The town council should encourage local groups to facilitate such an event. I suppose we could all troop down to Donnington and enjoy the event that takes place there.
