Hospital cuts outrageous
Winston Churchill is seen to be the greatest British prime minister. Anthony Blair is seen to be the worst. Having successfully privatised the national dental service, Blair is now in the process of privatising the National Health Service.
The first step, already under way, is to completely undermine the service. Government officials have now let loose financial rottweilers on the NHS and consequently there are savage cuts being made to hospitals, hospital beds and services.
Thousands of staff, including doctors and hundreds of nurses are being made redundant.
One trust chairman said on TV he was here to look after patients and not staff. I don't see how he is able to do this without frontline staff.
The point is that none of this needed to have happened if Blair had given the £2.5 billion to the Health Service and not the EU.
Let's hope he gets thrown out in the near future and that common sense is brought to bear.
The political parties are currently looking for votes but yet again the electorate is to be denied a voice on Europe.
Are we really a democracy?
