Shropshire Star

Promotion of book is wonderful

May I please use your letters space to congratulate the ex-RAF pilot and author for his outstanding efforts to promote his book, The Journey. I notice in the Shropshire Star on September 30, it is reported he is touring the county signing his book and giving talks on its content

Published

- a stunning good read which tells a story of a generation - of a young man's passage through war and peace, danger, courage, love and sadness.

There is simply no need for him to sit at a stall during the next four weeks at The Literary Festival in Wellington just to meet the meagre few, for I understand his support for the Severn Hospice has encouraged him during the next eight months to tour the county and meet hundreds and hundreds of members of the public at over 34 venues, many members of the Wl, British Legion branches, senior citizens, town guilds, RAFA and Naval Associations.

These visits will enable him to further promote his book to further increase his donation to help the terminally ill, which now stands at more than £10,000.

I have much admiration for his drive and energy and I hope the general public will give him and his co-author their wholehearted support.
