Bus time rules are ridiculous
I would like to ask Arriva Buses what time scale they use for travel passes. I have just returned home to wait 30 minutes for the next D70 from Montford Bridge to Shrewsbury.
I was in time for the 9.27am service. The bus arrived at 9.27am, on time.
On I get, only to be told by the driver my pass was not valid until 9.30am. So I would have to pay £1.40 for a space of three minutes.
What if the bus had been, say, five minutes late or cancelled? Would I have got some sort of compensation? Not likely!
I have boarded this bus in the past at 9.27am with no problems. Come on Arriva. If your driver was so particular about time, I wonder how many minutes he has kept passengers waiting wh-ile he has an extra cup of tea.
I returned home - not that I couldn't afford the £1.40 fair, but on principle to wait for the next bus.
