Chance to nominate your Star
Can I urge all your readers to come forward to nominate their friend/family member/work colleague for Star Woman of the Year. Last year, unbeknown to me, my son nominated me, and much to my surprise I won.
I cannot tell you what an experience it was. I have worked for Shropshire Sands for many years because I feel that we all should give something back into the community. I never expected for my work to be recognised. Well it was and the many cards/letters/telephone calls were overwhelming.
People always wait until you die before they say nice things about you, but they were given the chance to say it to me while I was alive. It was a very emotional time, and it has not stopped.
Only last week a friend I had not seen for many months stopped to congratulate me.
So please get nominating.
