The Heal festival will take place at Shrewsbury's Greenhous West Mid Showground on July 31.

Organisers said they were delighted reggae performer Dawn Penn, famous for her worldwide hit 'no, no, no you don't love me', had joined the line up.

Also added to the bill is legendary DJ Nicky Blackmarket who will be supporting local DJs and musicians in the Subsoundz tent.

Joining the main stage after hanging up their guitars almost seven years ago, are one of Shropshire's most popular bands in recent times, The Taste.

They returned to the studio earlier this year to begin rehearsals for a brand new set list.

Andy O'brien, famed for his Lucky Man and Oasis tribute shows will be supporting earlier on.

They join top artists such as Nathan Dawe, Shaun Ryder's Black Grape, Tom Zanetti, and Jay 1 who have already been announced for the event.

Festival organiser Richard Clarke said: "We are proud to be supporting local artists in any way we can and have many more exciting opportunities for the local community to get involved, which are still yet to be announced.

"Having Dawn Penn on the bill is a bit of a coup, considering she is particular on where and how often she performs. Being a victim of racism herself when she moved to the Virgin Islands, her presence alone re-enforces our message of unity and one love in the face of discrimination. Her music is truly global."

Tickets cost £25, and are available at www.healfestival.co .uk
