Free circus tickets on offer for disadvantaged youngsters
Hundreds of disadvantaged youngsters will be able to enjoy the thrills and spills of the circus free of charge in Shropshire this autumn.

Circus Starr, a circus company which brings the drama of the big top to youngsters who might not otherwise be able to experience it, is offering 1,000 tickets to youngsters and their carers when it comes to Shrewsbury in the autumn.
Circus Starr is putting on two shows in the town for youngsters who are often excluded from these kind of events because of their needs and circumstances.
This can include youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds or who suffer from disabilities.

Tickets are funded by local businesses and are pre-allocated to families who struggle to go to or enjoy a live performance.
Circus Starr director Michelle Crossley said: "The barriers families face to accessing creative and cultural activities are many and varied.
"Some families simply can’t afford or have a child with a disability whose needs aren’t being met elsewhere.
"The atmosphere in our big top is warm, friendly and extremely relaxed. Children are encouraged to be themselves – shout out, move around, dance or take time out if they need to."
Circus Starr will be at Quarry Park on October 1, with performances at 4.45pm and 7pm.
