Razorlight to play Birmingham

Indie rock icons Razorlight are set to play Birmingham later this year.

The tour comes after the announcement of the London quartet's fourth studio album, Olympus Sleeping, which is due to be released this year.

Formed in 2002, Razorlight are best known for songs such as America, Before I Fall to Pieces, I The Morning, Wire to Wire and Golden Touch.

Razorlight debut album, Up All Night, was released in 2004, reaching number three in the UK album charts.

The following year the band performed at Hyde Park as part of the Live 8 series of concerts, as well as headlining their first American tour.

The group have since released a further three full-length albums, and played alongside the likes of Queen and Paul Rodgers, The Rolling Stones, Kasabian and Kaiser Chiefs.

Razorlight will play Birmingham's O2 Institute on December 10.
