Hurricane flypast at village festival
An RAF Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is expected to provide a flypast at this year’s Morville festival and fete on Monday.

The event is taking place in Morville, a village just outside Bridgnorth.
The chairwoman of Morville festival and fete committee, Kathy Renshall said: “We are really excited that the RAF is providing the flypast and are looking forward to an extra special festival and village fete this year especially as Morville church is celebrating its 900th anniversary.
“There will be lots to do and of course plenty of refreshments.”

The six gardens surrounding Morville Hall will be open on both Sunday and Monday. The entrance fee is £5 for adults and free for children.
The traditional May Day fete will be held on Bank Holiday Monday around the church.
It is free admission but it will cost £2 to park.
Attractions include a bouncy castle, ukulele band, Alison’s Bees, stalls, line dancing display, face painting, donkey rides, crown and shield competition.
There will also be a Punch and Judy show, maypole dancing, hot pork rolls, a coconut shy and two vintage tractors.
Sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, homemade cakes and more will be served in Morville’s 12th century church on both days from 11am to 5pm, where visitors can also view the Morville 900 timeline of pictures produced by pupils from Morville Primary School, the Morville Memories history display and floral displays created by families, themed around a reflection of Morville’s past.
On Sunday, a festival evensong service will be held at the Church of St Mary, Acton Round, at 6pm, accompanied by Quatford and Oldbury Choir.
