Telford beauty queen holds fun day
A woman has raised £120 for charity as part of her bid to become the next Miss England.

Sophie Dunning, from Telford, held a charity Easter fun day at a soft play centre in a bid to raise funds for the competition's Beauty with a Purpose charity.
The 23-year-old, from Snedshill, joined the competition for her three-year-old niece Amelia, as she wanted to show her that looks aren't everything – which is why she hopes to use her time in the contest to do a host of good deeds.
On Good Friday Sophie organised the event at Pirates Play Pit in Halesfield with a disco, Easter egg hunt and face painting.
The event raised a total of £120 for the charity, which helps causes nationwide.
Miss Dunning, who works as a conveyancing assistant, is one of three women from Shropshire who have made it to the semi-finals of the national beauty contest. She said: "I spent Good Friday offering face painting for all of the children who attended the Easter party."
Sophie has now entered the Robin Hood half marathon and will be running for the Beauty with a Purpose charity on September 25.
Sophie will head to the Miss England semi-final on June 11 at Kelham Hall in the Trent Valley.
Normally there is an annual Miss Shropshire competition, but this year it will be combined with the Miss England semi-finals in June.
