Telly Talk: Roland Rat and Kevin the Gerbil, Zig and Zag, Dangermouse and Penfold. Even Ant and Dec. Well now we have Linny and Lemmy - and what a great pairing, writes Tracey O'Sullivan.

It was inspired of the I'm a Celeb producers to put these two together last night in a game of charades. They're over-excited children at the best of times, so this was the perfect challenge for them and for the amusement of viewers.

And poor old Lembit couldn't resist the over-exuberant celebration as he jumped up to give Linford a victory hug, his legs clasped around Linford's waste. Only Linny and Lemmy could get away with such ridiculous displays but long may the partnership continue. And with Dom Joly in their corner they should escape some of that camp bullying going on - at least for now.

I didn't expect to on first impressions but I'm liking Mr Joly and he has Lembit pegged: "You can't hurt Lembit, he is the camp pet."

Totally spot on. In fact he went so far as to say he liked the former MP, who he had met previously on his show, although in a growing trend was the latest to admit he didn't know how he had managed to be elected.

In fact Ant and Dec have adopted Lembit's political career as one of their many amusing sayings to be repeated on a regular basis during those links to camera - "He was an MP you know, for 13 years" with an emphasis on the 13 years.

But those pretty harmless flaws are for the moment doing him no harm in the camp - at least with viewers. The contestants, on the other hand, are a different story, with Jenny Eclair joining the Havers campaign against the Our Lem.

Last night she admitted to Joly that her tolerance levels for Lemmy were running pretty low, although to give Dom some credit he stepped in to defend the former MP ("13 years"). Dom's no shrinking violet so that could be chalked up as a win for Lembit.

Now we need to see more of Lemmy and Linny, or even for viewers to give the man another chance at a Bushtucker Trial. Then he might just establish himself as one of those who could go far.

At the moment he has no chance of making it to the final and may even struggle to be in the last eight to ten, but in terms of boosting his career he could do worse than sit down with Linford and have a chat.

I mean, Roland together with Zig and Zag boosted their profile on morning television and I hear there could be an opening on Daybreak in the near future.
