Tasty treats are flying off shelves in Market Drayton
It's the most wonderful time of the year. And to celebrate a Shropshire chocolatier has made some extra special Christmas treats.
Nicola Docksey, from Tuesday's Fine Confectionery, in Cheshire Street, Market Drayton, has made eight festive scenes each with a chocolate Santa Claus, Rudolph, snowman, penguin and Christmas tree.
And the creations have been so popular that they all sold out within days of first going on display and attracting attention in the shop window.
Ms Docksey said: "We like to come up with new ideas each Christmas so this year we decided to put together some Christmas scenes and make everything out of chocolate.
"Each one has an igloo as well as penguins, Christmas trees and of course Santa Claus and Rudolph.
"They are also covered in snow with lots of small snowballs. Everything is completely edible.
"I only made eight but next year I will make four times as many because they have been so popular. Although they were very tricky to do, they were very delicate and fiddly and we don't have an awful lot of room inside the shop."
She added: "They are lovely and they made a great window display. Once people spotted it they were soon coming in and asking questions.
"They were snapped up really quickly with most people reserving them and coming back to collect them at a later date. They have been really successful."
The chocolatier said Christmas is her busiest time of year, and she often spends 14 hours a day, seven days a week, putting together tasty treats.
She said: "It has been really busy.
"Once we get into December it feels like we are here all the time.
"But we do enjoy it.
"Alongside the Christmas scene what has also been popular this year are old Christmas classics such as Florentines, marzipan fruits and jelly slices.
She added: "They have all sold really well along with classic boxes of chocolates.
I hope everyone enjoys them."
