University Centre Shrewsbury to be placed under the spotlight at business event
Shropshire businesses can prepare for the momentous change in the county's demographic at a networking meeting in Shrewsbury next month.
The arrival of the University Centre Shrewsbury will see a new wave of young people in the county, bringing with them a portfolio of professional skills, and online, mobile and social media knowledge.
Held at the Greenhous Meadow stadium in Shrewsbury on May 22, the meeting of Shropshire Business Partnership will hear from specialists who can discuss what the arrival of the university means for the county's economy.
Event organiser Roy Broad said: "Shropshire is enhancing its reputation as a place to live, learn and work with the arrival of University Centre Shrewsbury, offering postgraduate courses since the autumn 2014 and undergraduate courses from September 2015.
"The availability of further and higher education courses in the county is going to make it easier for local employers to recruit excellent graduates."
