Work has started on the last building in Sherpa Properties' business quarter scheme on the Ludlow Eco Business Park in Sheet Road, on behalf of occupiers Occam Systems.

The new premises are being purpose built to comprise reception area, offices, meeting rooms and staff rooms with landscaped external areas and car parking.

Totalling around 4,500 sq ft and arranged over two floors, the accommodation provides workspace for the company's current staff of about 18 people and which will allow for their expansion to 25-30 people over the next few years.

Enjoying views to Clee Hill, but also with good access to the town centre and A49, the building is due for completion in October of this year.

Occam Systems is a provider of software for use by universities and private operators to manage student accommodation and has been based in Ludlow for many years.

Pooks negotiated the sale for the developers Sherpa Properties with a sales price of around £500,000.

Hatchers of Shrewsbury acted for Sherpa Properties in the transaction.

Occam Systems managing director David Wilkes said: "We are delighted to be expanding our operations within Ludlow and look forward to moving to the Business Park."

Chris McDonald of Sherpa Properties added: "This sale is a pleasing end to our development at Ludlow Business Quarter and we are now looking forward to working with Occam Systems to complete this project."

The developers currently have a similar scheme at Leominster Enterprise Park where office units are available to buy from around £165,000.

They also hope to undertake further developments at Ludlow Eco Business Park.
