Two new additions for Telford Tigers
Telford Tigers' new signings Dan Scott and Daniel Davies have hailed the club's "highly intense" training regime as they prepare for their debuts in the double-header with Sheffield Steeldogs.
The pair signed for Telford from Slough Jets at the start of the month, but have only now been able to join their new team-mates in training.
They go straight into the Tigers squad for tomorrow's visit of the Yorkshire outfit (5.30pm), following protracted transfers from crisis-hit Slough.
Returnee Dan Scott, who had a spell at Telford in 2010, took to the ice for the first time this week.
He said: "It was a really good session with a high tempo. There was a lot of guys on the ice, which meant plenty of competition for places. That is a good thing, whatever the sport.
"It was a highly intense session and we have a very good side. There is no doubt about that."
Scott almost missed the chance to train this week, but made a last-minute dash to Shropshire.
He added: "I finished work in Aldershot on Tuesday and thought why not go to training?
"It was a two and a half hour drive, late at night, but I am so glad I travelled. I only just go there though."
Fellow arrival Daniel Davies also joined his new side on Tuesday, and is delighted with his decision to join Telford.
"It was great to see the guys and they have definitely improved from a few weeks ago," he said.
"It felt like a really high-tempo session. The number of guys on the ice meant we could really pick up the pace.
"We have a lot of young players and you can see how walk the squad is developing."
