Kenny Jackett: I know the Wolves fans aren't happy

Boss Kenny Jackett says he is fully aware of the dissatisfaction of many Wolves fans – and admits it adds extra pressure on him to succeed.

Wolves have lost four of their past five matches and are seven points off the Championship play-offs in 14th position.

They host Burnley at Molineux tomorrow looking to get their flagging promotion campaign back on track.

And Jackett took responsibility for any current malaise, with many fans have publicly expressed their anger at Aston Gate on Tuesday night.

Supporters chanted "you don't know what you're doing" after the boss replaced Conor Coady with Matt Doherty late on against Bristol City, and booed at the full time whistle.

"I'm very much aware, as head coach you are as aware or more aware of anyone of what the supporters feel," Jackett said.

"Any reaction to that defeat and how those supporters feel is exactly what it is, because they've seen the game."

Does their frustration add any pressure on Jackett? "I'm sure it does," the head coach said.

"It's a situation where the supporters are entitled to express their opinion, definitely, and I'm thinking they would be saying similar things to what everyone has about that performance.

"I am aware of it, I do take responsibility for it.

"Although it was a 1-0 defeat it was a below-par performance.

"I think the fans' assessment is one from everybody wanting the club to do well. We finished seventh last year and all of our aims and ambitions are to be above that."

The Wolves boss, who again backed Benik Afobe to bounce back after the striker was taken off at half-time on Tuesday night, feels there is plenty of time to turn the team's fortunes around.

"With a third of the season gone we're below where we finished last year, there will be criticism, I accept and understand that," he added.

"The good thing is there's two thirds of the season to put that right."
