Kenny Jackett will not sell stars

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has issued a hands-off warning to potential suitors after Richard Stearman and Nouha Dicko were linked with moves away from the club.

The pair have been a key part of Wolves' success in the past two seasons.

But both are out of contract next summer and have attracted interest from elsewhere, with Fulham keen on Stearman and Everton thought to be monitoring Dicko.

Wolves will be desperate to avoid a repeat of Bakary Sako's situation, which will almost certainly see the winger leave Molineux on a free transfer after three years at the club.

Jackett said of Stearman and Dicko: "I'm very keen to retain their services.

"The two have been picked on a consistent basis and I would see them as having very strong futures at Wolves.

"Contracts are an ongoing process definitely but I think it's correct to say that both of them have futures at the club and we're very happy with both players.

"Richard Stearman was player of the season, for both players and fans, and in Nouha Dicko we feel we have a fast-improving forward that can get goals in this league and to continue, at 22 years old, his own personal improvement."

Meanwhile, the future of Mali winger Sako rumbles on. He is believed to have several offers from Premier League clubs, with Leicester City thought to have offered him a £50,000-a-week contract.

Besiktas have also expressed an interest but Jackett suggested that Sako's future was in the English top flight.

Asked if there was even a slim chance of Sako staying at Wolves, the head coach said: "I would very much doubt it. He's a player that still has Premier League options and I think in the weeks to come he'll sign for a Premier League club."

Benik Afobe will join up with pre-season training on Monday and Scott Golbourne who has an ongoing foot problem will return 'in due course'.
