Kenny Jackett may stick with Wolves heroes

Boss Kenny Jackett today admitted replacing his Wolves heroes is proving difficult after they returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion at Fulham.

Wolves picked up their second victory in three in the Championship after pipping the Cottagers 1-0 courtesy of Bakary Sako's 13th-minute strike.

But the scoreline belied a tremendous performance full of quality football in which they pretty much controlled the game from start to finish against the recently-relegated Premier League side.

Head coach Jackett named an unchanged team last night for the third game in a row in the league.

And, as he continues his search for a goalscorer, Jackett said he is finding it hard to get better players than the squad he has assembled.

"We're not worrying about making changes to the side because, at the moment, the players are making it difficult to replace them," said Jackett. "But if we can replace them with better players we will."

While Kevin McDonald was man of the match, Rajiv Van La Parra caught the eye with his pace and penetrating runs.

"I thought Van La Parra was a key player for us – he was very good and showed great athleticism and is a good addition for a free transfer," added Jackett.

"We played very well and negated Fulham. We passed the ball well, and then played well in open play and hit them on the break."

Sako missed a last-gasp penalty after Cameron Burgess brought down Nouha Dicko. But that didn't concern Jackett as he purred at the satisfaction of his team's performance.

"The penalty miss wasn't crucial but the way we played and with the ability we showed, there were more goals in us," he said.

"There was real hunger and desire about us and a real determintation."
