Wolves' Kenny Jackett cranks up derby heat
Kenny Jackett today cranked up the heat to Saturday's Black Country derby by warning Wolves are a better team than the side Walsall stunned at Molineux.
The Saddlers earned the bragging rights in September with a 1-0 win but Wolves have since signed game-changers James Henry, Michael Jacobs and Nouha Dicko.
In addition, Jack Price has emerged as a star find and Wolves have settled into a real passing style of play.
Wolves go to a sold-out Banks's Stadium seeking a club record equalling eighth straight victory and a 24-year best sixth consecutive clean sheet.
Those compelling stats have propelled Jackett's side to the top of League One on goal difference.
And Jackett declared: "I'd like to think we're in a better place than we were and I'd like to think we're a better team.
"We know our job and we know our pattern more, but we have to go and prove that on that particular day knowing how much it will mean to the opposition to play Wolves.
"We must give Walsall and the occasion every respect and then concentrate on our game, pass the ball, and play to our potential."
