Kenny Jackett urges Wolves to cash in

And the Molineux head coach wants to make more of the improved service from man of the moment James Henry and Co.

"We need to be stronger in our good periods – we're working on being more cohesive in training," said Jackett.

"In periods when we're on top, we're definitely looking to score more.

"If you're not two, three or four goals ahead in your good spells, the other side come back at you.

"Some of our build-up play and our switching of the play was very good on Saturday. But there just seemed to be this white wall about seven yards out heading the ball out.

"They were pressing us and pushing up from the back and we need to be at times cleverer and cuter to play people in.

"We weren't clever enough to either get across the first defender or do what they do at the top level, which is run the ball more and then cut it back inside for a midfielder coming onto it.

"They're things we've been working on and what we need to improve on because particularly since James Henry has come in, we've put a lot of crosses into the box and we need to be doing better from those."

Jackett has ruled out hamstring victims Matt Doherty and Kevin McDonald until Saturday's FA Cup first round tie at Oldham.

Leading goalscorer Leigh Griffiths is expected to start after coming off the bench against Stevenage at the weekend but Jackett hinted at minimal changes.

"I don't think I'll veer too much away from the side that played on Saturday," he said.

"It doesn't look like there's any real necessity to make changes but we shall see."

Carlisle striker Lee Miller starts a four-match ban after being sent off for the second time this season in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Gillingham.

Left-back Conor Townsend is in contention after a ban, while defender Max Ehmer, signed on loan from QPR yesterday, could also figure.
