Razak Boukari is back in training for Wolves
Wolves were handed a rare boost today after forgotten winger Razak Boukari returned to full training.
The £3m signing from Rennes took his first big steps towards a recall to senior action when he came through a session with the first team at Compton.
It was the first time Boukari had been back since suffering a calf injury in the early minutes of the 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday on September 29.
"Razak was out there training on the pitch today," said manager Dean Saunders.
"I don't know how his calf is going to stand up to full-time training yet, but he was back out there and we'll see how he is."
Saunders refused to say when Boukari will be available to play, while fellow winger Adam Hammill will almost certainly miss tomorrow's trip to Millwall after being involved in a car crash.
"Adam has whiplash after being in a car accident so I don't know if he'll be available," said the boss.
Saunders tried to remain positive today after the Championship survival story took another twist.
Wolves go to Millwall tomorrow night seeking their first win in 14 games. Saunders saw his side drop to second from bottom after Peterborough's 3-2 win at Blackburn on Saturday.
But with defeats for Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and Birmingham, there is only six points between Wolves and 15th-placed Blackpool.
"If we win two games, we're up with Blackpool – that's all it takes and the whole thing will change," said Saunders.
"If we can win two games on the trot, we'll be out of where we are and looking at another couple of wins, a few draws and we'll be alright."
