Stale Solbakken delighted by Wolves unity
Stale Solbakken today saluted a 'united Wolves' as he praised his players' against-the-odds comeback which rocked Brighton.
Wolves scored three times for only the second time this season despite playing the second half with 10 men after captain Karl Henry was sent off.
They also conceded a harshly-awarded last minute penalty for handball against Stephen Ward but hit back to draw 3-3 thanks to Roger Johnson's last-gasp equaliser.
Solbakken was delighted with the spirit his 10 men showed and believes it shows the squad are together, despite the point extending their run to six games without a win and making it three points out of the last 18 to drop them to 15th in the Championship.
"Players, myself and the referee can all make mistakes, but for the fans, it's important for them to see that we're united after many hard games lately," said Solbakken.
"The team came back and showed character in the last few minutes.
"We're under pressure to get points and that pressure is on me as the leader of the group, but we showed we're a team.
"We should be proud of ourselves with what we did in the second half.
"We never gave up and had some very good chances at the end and Roger Johnson scored and so 3-3 was OK."
