Stale Solbakken plans Wolves changes
Stale Solbakken this afternoon confirmed he will shuffle his Wolves pack for tomorrow night's Championship clash at Hull City.
Wolves get an immediate chance to put things right after what was accepted as their poorest performance of the season on Saturday as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at Burnley.
And with no fresh injury concerns, the manager said: "There will be changes at Hull. We need to put more players into action to make sure they can stay the distance of the season."
But Solbakken will also be looking for a fresh attacking strategy after the failure of his team to make anything of more than 60 per cent possession and a higher shots-on-target total at Turf Moor.
And he raised major question marks about the capability of Kevin Doyle and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake to physically cope as a front-running spearhead in the Championship.
"In a way maybe it was a good thing to see that when we have to play the long ball we get smashed," said Solbakken.
"I think I have seen that enough now. We don't have these powerhouses up front like Charlie Austin for Burnley. We have different type of players.
"That was once again shown against Burnley – when we kick it long we struggle because we have smaller, technical players."
