Stale lays into side as Wolves booed off
Frustrated Stale Solbakken today blasted Wolves' second-half fade-out after they were booed off following Saturday's 1-1 draw against Charlton.
Wolves let a lead slip for the fifth time this season which has cost them 12 points and left them eighth in the Championship, four points off the automatic promotion spots.
Four days on from a limp second-half display in the 2-2 draw against Bolton, they faded again as Lawrie Wilson cancelled out Bakary Sako's fifth goal of the season.
The Addicks should have won it as former Albion striker Rob Hulse wasted two glorious headed chances at the death, leaving Wolves manager Solbakken exasperated.
"I understand fans' frustrations – no one is more frustrated than us," said the boss.
"We played poorly. We don't want to play like that – we want to control the game better and we weren't able to.
"The crowd got a bit anxious and I don't know if that had an effect on the game but it was a very untidy second half.
"We want to improve and show we're better than we were on Saturday.
"I didn't like the second half."
