Karl Henry today gave Wolves a huge boost when he declared himself fit to face Bolton in the relegation crunch clash on Saturday.
The tough-tackling midfielder is back in full training, having recovered from a hamstring injury sustained early on against Fulham on March 4.
Henry has been sorely missed, having not been on the pitch for the five-goal hammerings against Fulham, Albion and Manchester United, and for the last three games, which have all been lost.
"I thought I'd be back a bit quicker and got it in my head I'd be back after 10 days – but that's probably because I've never had a hamstring injury before," said Henry. "It was starting to feel better towards the end of last week and I had two good sessions on Friday and Saturday and a fitness test on Saturday morning.
"I got through everything, tested it to the 'max' and it felt alright.
"I just maybe need to look after it through the week but I should be available for selection."
Henry was one of eight players who missed Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Norwich. But he and Ronald Zubar (suspended) are back in contention for the visit of the Trotters, and they may be joined by David Davis (ribs) and Stephen Hunt (hernia).
"I think there are a few players potentially coming back," said Henry. "David Davis and Stephen Hunt trained as well so we'll see how it goes this week."
Henry and Davis are two of five central midfielders who have been injured, with Jamie O'Hara, Nenad Milijas and Emmanuel Frimpong, who has since returned to his parent club Arsenal.
"Every team has injuries but when they seem to happen to players in the same area of the pitch it can be difficult," said Henry.
Meanwhile, Henry has warned it's vital for Wolves to end their losing run on Saturday or they will be cut adrift.
"We need to get a result to stay in touch with the pack above us because otherwise we'll be falling away," he said.
"Blackburn have had a couple of wins and Wigan and QPR have won games, and we haven't had that yet. We need to address that on Saturday."
