West Brom young star in Wales squad for Ghana draw as son of ex-Baggies hero nets equaliser
The youngster has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Albion.
Ollie Bostock’s rise to the Albion first team has continued this season with a handful of starts and cameos.
And he was rewarded for his club form with a first senior international call-up last week - as he was named in the Wales side to face Ghana in Cardiff on Tuesday evening.
Ghana were warming up for the World Cup as Wales face two end of season friendlies before the summer break.
It was a big step for Bostock, and comes nine month months after he made his senior Albion bow.
In total, last season he was handed three starts in all competitions, while he netted his first senior goal in the defeat to Oxford United.
Prior to that he had already announced himself in the FA Cup, with an assist and the winning penalty in the third round victory over Swansea.
That was followed in March by a first Wales under 21 call up - before Craig Bellamy added him to his squad for Tuesday night, which is followed by another friendly against Romania on Saturday.
Unfortunately for Bostock he didn’t manage to get on the field, but he may well get the opportunity on Saturday.

Elsewhere, there was an Albion connection in the draw for Wales in Cardiff, as the son of former Albion favourite Jason Koumas netted a 93rd minute equaliser.
Liverpool’s Lewis Koumas, who spent last season on loan at Hull and Birmingham City, came off the bench to head home his first senior Wales goal.
The 20-year-old has seen his stock in the Championship rise in recent years, and has been linked with Albion in the past.
