Four-figure legal bill for motorist, 25, who failed to tell cops who drove his van
Driver also gets six points on his licence after being found guilty.
A motorist who failed to identify who drove his van to police has been handed a hefty fine.
Gursimran Sidhu, aged 25, was asked to tell officers who drove the Mercedes Sprinter in Telford on April 28 this year, as it was suspected of being involved in a motoring offence. However, he failed to do so.
Sidhu, of Richard Bradley Way, Tipton, West Midlands, was found guilty at Telford Magistrates Court of failing to provide information relating to a driver/rider when required.
Magistrates fined Sidhu £750 and ordered for his licence to be endorsed with six penalty points.
Sidhu was also ordered to pay £650 in prosecution costs and a £300 victim surcharge, bringing his total legal bill to £1,400.
