Gwion Dafydd nets treble as TNS ease to Welsh Cup win win
Gwion Dafydd fired a hat-trick as The New Saints cruised into the second round of the JD Welsh Cup with a 5-0 victory over Ruthin Town.

The Saints had made nine changes for the trip but still proved far too strong for lower division Ruthin .
Dafydd opening the scoring on five minutes, lobbing the keeper from the edge of the box before adding a second on 13 minutes after a superb run and shot. Rory Holden hit the third after the half-time break, then added a second of his own as he turned home a cross on 72 minutes.
Daffyd completed his treble 10 minutes later, firing home from the centre of the Ruthin box.
