The Salop boss' future has been up in the air ever since Brian Caldwell left the club and they announced they were creating a new football board without Cotterill being consulted on this.
Almost a month has passed since the last game of the season at Lincoln where the manager was emotional when he addressed the media saying he was uncertain of his future.
