The 32-year-old made his second debut for Shrewsbury against Charlton last week in a game that was saw him return to Shropshire twelve years after leaving.

The former Wales International will be fighting to get fit before the end of the month.

Tuesday night's FA Cup triumph over Stoke City presented Edwards, and his manager Sam Ricketts, a chance to lock horns with former club Wolves in the next round of the FA Cup.

That tie is set to be played at Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday 26th January at 3pm.
