The right-back has been a regular in John Askey’s team since joining for the season on loan deadline day on August 31.

The Ipswich man has clocked up nine appearances for Salop.

But the 21-year-old admits he is looking to put in more consistent displays while in blue and amber as he gains experience.

“I’ve been too inconsistent. That’s something I need to get out of my game,” said Emmanuel.

“The older you get the more experience you get. You want to maintain a level of performance – that’s what I’m trying to focus on.

“You’ve got to be honest and open about your performance, that’s the only way you’re going to improve.

“I’ve been good in some games, not so good in others. The whole team need to keep a consistency through games.”

Emmanuel’s parent club Ipswich, managed by former Town boss Paul Hurst, are struggling at the bottom of the Championship with just one win all season.

The right-back added that he is in touch with former Shrews employers now at Portman Road.

“Some of them (at Ipswich) message me after the games. They keep an eye on the scores,” he continued. “It’s disappointing to see, I’m sure things will turn around soon.

“It’s not the best but I know they’re the characters to turn it around.”
