Fans’ favourite and goalkeeper Dean Henderson posted a picture to Twitter of him making a spectacular dive for the top corner in a bid to keep the ball out of his net.

Town’s Sundorne Castle training base was completely covered in snow, but protective sheets had been placed to ensure that at least some training could go ahead.

On-loan Manchester United man Henderson, no stranger to posting images of himself making flying mid-air saves, has built up a unique relationship with Town fans in his Montgomery Waters Meadow stay.

While much of the country ground to a halt with the deluge of snow yesterday, Hurst’s men continued their preparation ahead of the Milton Keynes trip, where they aim to get back to winning ways in League One.

The England youth shot-stopper has recently been busy raising funds for Hope House Hospice after having his hair completely shaved off.

Henderson can also be seen wearing the famous Shrewsbury ‘scrambled egg’ top from the 1992/1993 season.

Captain Abu Ogogo recently revealed that the club vote for the week’s worst trainer and that recipient has to wear the classic kit for the entirety of the next week.
