Neil Warnock' side will visit Shropshire on Tuesday, July 25 (7pm kick-off).

Town are already due to host Aston Villa (July 15), Wolves (July 22) and Burton Albion (July 29), whilst they also face AFC Telford United at the New Bucks Head on July 26.

Boss Paul Hurst said: "It’s another Championship club, another home game, which will be the last of the home games for us, and another really tough test.

“It’s about being tested. It might be a whole new unit out there working together as part of the team which we need to find answers from very quickly and you’re not going to get that against some really lowly opposition that don’t cause you any threats.

“In general they are all first-team games, but I’m sure they will have some younger players there as well that on the day we might have a conversation after and they might say ‘that number 34 might be available on loan’.

“We’ve got to try and build some relationships with teams, that’s not a bad thing.

"But the prime objective is to test some of the players that we have got in the squad to get them as ready as possible for that first game of the season.”
