Shrewsbury Town legend Chris Smith passes away
Shrewsbury Town have announced the passing of club legend Chris Smith.

The former Super Blues chairman was inducted into the club's hall of fame legends list as the only non-playing member.
He had been battling multiple sclerosis during the latter years of his life.
Shrewsbury chairman Roland Wycherley revealed his shock at the news of Chris's death, the lifelong supporter was still a regular at Greenhous Meadow and was present for the recent supporters' award evening.
Chris followed Town all around the country and abroad. He first volunteered with the club selling match day programmes aged 13 and attended his first game aged two with his grandad and the club's former physio Sam Powell.
He is survived by wife Sylvia.
Wycherley said: “I am shocked and saddened that we have received the news that Chris has passed away.
“He has been a lifelong supporter of Shrewsbury Town and has done so much for the club over that time.
“From a young age he travelled the country supporting the club and then became a driving force behind the supporters groups.
“His work with the Super Blues club has seen it help many projects at the Gay Meadow and at the Greenhous Meadow.
“He was inducted into the Shrewsbury Town Legends and is the first supporter to have that honour bestowed on him.
“He will be sadly missed by everyone contacted with the football club and our thoughts are with Sylvia, his family and friends at this very sad time.”
