Shrewsbury Town supporters have been given the power to decide what the side's home kit will be for next season.

There are five designs – all using the club's distinctive blue and amber colours – for Salop fans to vote on including an eye-catching strip featuring stars on the jersey and half-and-half shorts.

The club came up with the assorted designs for the shortlist with the help of kit supplier Errea, the Junior Supporters Club and the Supporters Parliament.

Errea were sent a supporter's design and another from the juniors, and have worked them up into kits that can be manufactured.

Town chief executive Brian Caldwell is glad supporters have been involved in the process and that they will have the final say.

"We have worked closely with Errea to give Shrewsbury Town supporters a range of designs to vote on for our home for next season," said the CEO.

"The supporter-designed kits show our commitment to work with the supporters and the Supporters Parliament on decisions such as the design of the kit.

"All the designs will use the club's distinctive blue and amber colours and I think it will be a design we can all be proud of."

Supporters can cast their vote by opting for one of options A-E and by supplying their full name, supporter number and email address.

The closing date for voting is 5pm on Thursday.
