Town will welcome Cardiff City on Saturday, July 16 and Birmingham City on Tuesday 19, before making the short trip to Solihull Moors the following Saturday.

The Cardiff game will be split into four, 30-minute periods as both sides take an early look at their new-look squads.

Birmingham will split their entire squad between Shrewsbury and Walsall's Banks's Stadium on the same evening.

Town played both Championship sides last summer, losing 2-0 to Blues and coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Cardiff, who they also beat 1-0 away in the FA Cup third round last season.

Salop left back Mat Sadler started his career at St. Andrew's and is a lifelong Blues fan, while Birmingham midfielder David Davis had a six-month spell on loan at Town from Wolves in 2011, scoring twice in 19 League games.

National League Premier new boys Solihull Moors won the National League North title last season and will be looking forward to the challenge of the step up to the Conference.

Moors have several Town connections including Gavin Cowan, Steve Leslie and Akwasi Asante.

Ticket details will be released as soon as they are confirmed.

Town are also looking to play an away friendly on Saturday, July 9 and a home one at the Greenhous Meadow on Sunday, July 31.
