Boost for Shrewsbury Town as James Wallace returns to full training

James Wallace has handed Shrewsbury Town a huge boost by returning to full training.

The on-loan Sheffield United midfielder has been out with a knee injury since coming off in the 2-1 defeat to Southend on February 2, missing 11 games.

Wallace underwent a painkilling injection in early March and it finally looks like it's done the trick.

But given the length of his absence, the 24-year-old won't be available for Saturday's trip to Millwall.

"He's back in full training now, so it will just be a case of wait and see with him because he's been out for about six or seven weeks," said boss Micky Mellon.

"It's a similar situation to what we've got with 'Weso' (James Wesolowski).

"It's a huge boost because I think he's a terrific midfielder with every quality I could wish to have at a club and someone I'm very keen to get back and select as quickly as possible."
