Sullay Kaikai feels form for Shrewsbury Town
Man of the moment Sullay Kaikai insists in-form Shrewsbury Town feel they can win every game.
Saturday's 2-2 draw at Bury made it eight matches unbeaten and Town are now eight points clear of the drop zone.
They've got nine games left, starting with the visit of Port Vale on Good Friday.
Kaikai is brimming with confidence after scoring four goals in his last four games to total nine in 18 games for the season.
The on-loan Crystal Palace star said: "The team is full of confidence and we go into every game feeling like we're going to win.
"We're creating lots of chances and it's just about taking them and getting the points.
"We just take each game as it comes and we don't want to get ahead of ourselves too soon.
"So we'll go into the next game with a winning mentality."
Town boss Micky Mellon believes the good habits the 20-year-old has had instilled in him at Selhurst Park have spread to the rest of the squad.
Mellon said: "He's a good player, he's a goal threat and he works his socks off. He comes with Premier League standards because that's what he's used to, and it rubs off on everyone else.
"We all see the qualities he has and it's good to see the rest of the players matching those standards.
"He's a very good player – he scores goals, he's exciting for the fans and he makes back fours bend with his pace, trickery, directness and his desire to score. He's certainly a really valued member of the squad."
Shrewsbury got the nod from the Eagles ahead of competition from the Championship to secure a second loan spell for the youngster.
Mellon admits they had to be careful, adding: "We had to work hard on it and we had to be very patient – we couldn't be continually knocking on the door.
"We just made sure Palace knew if there was another opportunity for Sullay to come out and they felt his development could continue here, then we wanted to be first in the queue."
