Wales ambitions for Town's Dominic Smith
Shrewsbury Town defender Dominic Smith has set his sights on following Tom Bradshaw into the full Wales squad.
The 20-year-old signed a two-year contract last week, has been named in the Wales Under-21s squad.
The Welsh starlets undertake UEFA Under-21 Championships qualifiers in Bulgaria on March 25 and four days later in Romania.
Bradshaw, meanwhile, saw his hopes of making Euro 2016 this summer given a major boost after receiving his second call-up to the senior side.
The former Town striker will now hope to feature in friendlies against Northern Ireland on Thursday and Ukraine on Easter Monday.
Both players are Shrewsbury-born and 20-year-old Smith admits Bradshaw's breakthrough is an inspiration.
Smith said: "You never know. You look at the likes of Tom Bradshaw in the squad from the same league as me and he's worked really hard this season.
"He's getting noticed and there aren't that many Welsh centre-halves in the Premier League these days so maybe they have to start looking to our league, you never know.
"At 20, I've got lots of experience to get and I'll improve in the years to come. Wales is my second home. My first home is here and just to be called up to play for my country is an honour."
Bradshaw, who will play for Walsall today against Colchester, admitted the call-up caps a great week which saw him score his 17th goal of the season in the midweek 1-0 win at Fleetwood.
The 23-year-old said: "(Manager) Jon Whitney called me into his office and, when he told me, I was absolutely over the moon.
"I wasn't really expecting it to be honest. Most of the squad are fit and last time I was called up there were one or two injuries, so to get in this time is amazing. It is going to be a great experience."
Bradshaw's call-up has seen Shrewsbury's Easter Monday trip to Walsall in League One re-arranged for Tuesday April 26.
