Town hopeful on Junior Brown's fitness ahead of Scunthorpe clash
Junior Brown will be given another 24 hours to prove his fitness for Shrewsbury Town.
The in-form left back was forced off after just 26 minutes of Tuesday's 2-1 win over Coventry with a nerve problem which is causing him discomfort from his back to his hamstring.
Brown hasn't returned to training yet and remains a doubt for Saturday's visit of Scunthorpe, which would end his 12-match run of consecutive matches he if he fails to make it.
"It's a spasm-type thing running from his back to his hamstring so we'll see how that pans out over the next 24 hours, but we're hopeful," said manager Micky Mellon.
"He hasn't trained - they only had a cool-down today anyway and there's a few of them who have done pretty much nothing."
Mat Sadler, who replaced Brown in midweek, stands by for a recall.
