Graham Turner's side will go to London Road hunting back-to-back wins for the first time this season following last Saturday's 2-0 home victory over Gillingham. That win was Town's first in nine games.

Centre-back Winfield said: "I think that victory can be a springboard.

"We will be looking to take our momentum from one game into another at the weekend especially and it is good that we have got a game on Tuesday against Colchester as well so that we can kick on again.

"Let's start getting some points on the board."

Winfield is under no illusions as to the size of the task Town will face against one of League One's promotion favourites.

But the defender insists they will be ready for the challenge.

He said: "It is a tough game but we will prepare right and go there looking to do a job.

"Everyone is excited to go out and play.

"We are going to be up against it, it is going to be tough but be are ready for it.

"There's a good bunch of boys here and we will go out there and do our best.

"Peterborough have done well, they have got some good threats in their team and we will be trying to nullify them as much as possible."
