The Bucks finished rock bottom of the National League North last season, picking up just six wins in 46 games during a torrid campaign, and boss Kevin Wilkin will be eyeing promotion at the first time of asking.

As is often the case at this level of football, there has been a large turnover of players in the squad, and a new-look side will be lining up at New Bucks Head for the opening game against Royston Town in August.

Several players have moved on, several have come in and more are being looked at by Wilkin and his staff.

The most significant exit for the Bucks is defender Harry Flowers, who has joined Southport for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old was adamant that he wanted a return to step two and handed in a transfer request that was reluctantly accepted by the club.
