AFC Telford United boss Rob Edwards has urged his fringe players to remain firmly on their toes during their hectic schedule.

The Bucks were heading to Blyth Spartans today, and host Leamington on Monday, Spennymoor Town on Thursday and Chorley next Saturday.

John McAtee, Paul Bignot and Jon Royle are some of those who have not featured much as of late, but Edwards has stressed they are likely to get a chance to impress soon enough for the relegation-threatened side.

“I’ve been saying to the lads a lot behind closed doors that everyone has got to be on their toes,” he said.

“There’s a lot of games coming now in quick succession. It’s game, rest up and so on.

“It’s a busy week, a very important week for us as we look to make sure that we stay in this division.

“They will all be needed. Everyone has a part to play, we need them all at it. They need to be ready when they’re called upon.”
