And manager Rob Smith is facing a potential double injury blow after midfielder Jack Rea finished the match nursing a hand injury

Smith said: "Darren is going to have to have an X-ray but it looks like it could be a potential fractured shoulder.

"Jack Rea looks like he has broken his hand or knuckles or something like that. It just gets worse but we have got to get on with it."

Telford had already suffered one injury blow with the news that Izak Reid would be unable to play in the match, after suffering a severe cut to his finger while at work.

Reid, who is an electrician, almost severed his finger and required several stitches as a result.

He should be back in contention for next weekend's home clash with Harrogate Town, which will boost a squad that missed his creative presence badly at Horsfall Avenue.

But Smith admitted that his team must improve significantly, nonetheless, if they are to bounce back from their latest setback.

Smith said: "(Izak) injured his finger quite badly at work so, for the first 48 hours, he can't do anything with that finger.

"He should be OK for next weekend with a bit of luck but we missed any sort of a threat and ended up just launching it up to Dave Hibbert, which is just a cop out for people.

"We have got to pick ourselves up and we have got to do it pretty quickly."

The injuries will only added extra urgency to Smith's search for new recruits and the manager reiterated the need to make big changes to the squad, after the team slipped back to the foot of the table.

He said: "We need players in and we need players out. There are players on the transfer list but not many of the ones that were there today.

"We have got a few thing, irons in the fire, but we are waiting on other clubs really and loan deals and things like that.

"But we need to do something, because I am not sure we can get too many results with what I put out there today."
