Godfrey Poku: Telford will keep fighting
Midfielder Godfrey Poku insists AFC Telford still have plenty to play for in their remaining seven games of the season.
The Bucks' Conference Premier status is hanging by the finest of threads following Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at home to Gateshead.
The reverse, coupled with a 0-0 draw for struggling Alfreton against Lincoln City, left them 15 points from safety with just seven games left to play.
Poku is refusing to concede defeat in their battle to beat the drop, and added that there are further reasons to keep on fighting.
He said: "It is not over but even if it was you have also got to play for pride as well and players are also playing for contracts for next year.
"You are fighting for your careers now basically."
Poku, who joined Telford in the summer from League Two Mansfield, is one of several players out of contract at the end of the season.
The popular 24-year-old admitted he is not yet sure where he will be playing his football next season.
But he will not allow such uncertainty to distract him during the end-of-season run-in with the Bucks, which will resume when the team travels to Braintree on Tuesday.
He said: "There are seven games to go and I will give 110 percent. I will give my all for the club.
"I am out of contract and who knows if they will give me a new one or not? But like I said I just want to give 110 percent for the club, I will get my head down and keep going."
Telford will follow up their trip to Cressing Road with a long trip to Dover next Saturday. April will begin with a home clash against Midlands rivals Kidderminster Harriers a week later before a visit to Southport on Easter Monday.
The Bucks host Lincoln City on April 11 and visit Altrincham on April 18, before closing the season at home to Wrexham on April 25.
