Every member of the AFC Telford United squad should be on red alert this Bank Holiday weekend.

Manager Liam Watson is planning to use all of his player power for the Bucks' Conference Premier games at Bristol Rovers today and at home against Southport (3pm) on Monday.

With two games in three days, the boss will rotate his squad. Asked if he will have to dip into his squad for the two games inside three days, the boss said: "Yeah, without a doubt.

"It's nice to be able to do that. I have got more strength in depth this season than last, and they will all be involved over the weekend."

Following promotion, Watson has bolstered his player resources over the summer and there is renewed competition for places throughout the squad.

In attack, Tony Gray, Sam Smith, Adam Farrell and Andy Owens are all still vying to claim a regular starting spot.

Watson said: "No one is actually jumping up (to the front of the queue) but a few of them will get an opportunity to play in the coming days and we will see how they go."

Watson's Bucks will face Southport for the first time since he left Haig Avenue last summer. He spent eight years with the Sandgrounders over two spells, from 2003-2006 and 2008-2013, before departing to take up the reins at the New Bucks Head last summer.

He guided the club to two Conference North titles, as well as an impressive seventh placed finish in the non-league's top tier.

Watson said: "We are looking forward to it. But in terms of players ,I think there will only be one involved who I actually signed – so from that point of view it is not a huge deal."
