AFC Telford boss wants to build on Hereford result

AFC Telford United manager Andy Sinton has urged his team to build on the feel-good factor from their dramatic draw with Hereford when they travel to Braintree.

The Bucks will head to the Amlin Stadium tomorrow sitting just inside the Blue Square Premier drop zone, two places below their hosts.

But, after a frustrating run of results, the Bucks chief was encouraged by his team's display at Edgar Street on Tuesday night, which culminated in a dramatic equaliser from on-loan Fleetwood midfielder Gerard Kinsella.

However, Sinton warned it will mean nothing if they do not manage to keep their momentum going.

He said: "It is a massive game. They are all massive now. But there are so many positives from Tuesday's game. We have got to take them into tomorrow at a venue where we got beat last year.

"It is always a tough game at Braintree, very tough, and I'm not expecting anything different. They lost at home in their last game and we go buoyed by Tuesday.

"But there is no point chucking our last performance and point away by not turning up."

The Bucks will be without injured trio Richard Davies (ankle), Jay Smith (abductor) and Michael Briscoe (back).

Transfer-listed Chris Blackburn, who reportedly could be leaving the club within the next week, is still struggling for fitness.
