AFC Telford United manager Andy Sinton has revealed a defender, central midfielder and wide player are on his January transfer wish list.

The Bucks boss, who saw his team lose 2-0 at home to Wrexham yesterday, reiterated his need to bring in more quality this month.

And Sinton is keen to move quickly to replace several imminent departures, including midfielder Jon Brown, who is emigrating to Thailand, and striker Chris Sharp, who has joined Hereford United.

On-loan Cambridge United defender Michael Wylde also looks set to return to his parent club within days when his current one-month deal at the New Bucks Head expires.

And midfielder Richard Davies could be out until March because of an ankle injury.

He said: "I certainly need a defender, I need someone in the middle of the park and I need probably another wide player.

"I have got targets but I wouldn't have thought we are close to a deal. There's a couple of real targets that I want that, if they did become available, they would cost and they might not be available for a couple of weeks.

"But I need to act and push on, because we are down in numbers. With Brown leaving, Richard Davies is now out, we have lost Chris Sharp and we have still got the injury problems that aren't going away."
