AFC Telford 1 Grimsby 2
Steve Jones' fifth goal of the season could not prevent Telford going down 2-1 at home to Grimsby Town.
Steve Leslie almost scored early on with an excellent long-range free kick which was turned behind by Town keeper James McKeown.
But the visitors went ahead with their first quality attack of the game when Nathan Pond headed home from Joe Colbeck's free kick after 12 minutes.
Telford responded well though and Steve Jones drew them level nine minutes later from Hubbins' right wing cross.
But The Mariners went back in front whenTelford failed to clear Colbeck's low drive allowing Ian Miller to slam home from the edge of the area six minutes before half time.
After the break Anthony Elding fired over from a promising position for the visitors but Leslie and Jordan Rose both came close for the hosts.
Despite a late barrage though, Grimsby held on for the victory.
